I'd prefer an older house just because they have so much character... however new houses can be really awesome too. What about you?Would you rather have a brand new house or an old house?
brand new, i dont want a house someone else has already lived in! and it might be haunted, i like shiny new and modernWould you rather have a brand new house or an old house?
brand new house for that way u don't have to repair and spend so much money doing so in a old house.
Brand new... old houses require too much maintenance. Plus, honestly, they're kinda creepy in my opinion
Old houses have a certain charm about them... but, you don't know how well they were built. I'd rather have a new house and add my own charm and character.
new
I would have to say new house, just because I'm not a good handyman and probably couldn't deal with problems of an older house.
Older houses. They look nicer %26amp; are built better.
Right now ... since I've been doing my own renovations for so long (Tiling the Floors, putting down Hardwood Flooring in the Bedroom, replacing toilets/faucets/sinks, Installing REAL WOOD Mouldings ... Building new Furniture, changing light fixtures (where the bulbs can be changed easily -- in other words, bulbs point downwards!), etc ...
And seeing the LACK of quality in NEW Construction ... the cheap (not real wood) cabinets, the horrible carpeting, the tiling that is not squared, the windows that leak, caulking that is done improperly, cheap manufactured mouldings (plastic!), and all the other problems ..
I will CHOOSE my ';Old'; Home over a ';NEW'; one ANY DAY ... because ... it survived the Hurricanes that came through my area in 2004-2005 (several) ... and is solidly built.
(And I HATE having to try to endure life in a cookie-cutter home).
I want one of the Old houses from like Gone With the Wind days, where they are all called plantations. That is my dream house.
Older house. All the kinks will have been worked out by the previous owners.
2older houses have a history to them,,they're built sturdy and like you said ,,they have character..the yards to older houses also have trees plants and bushes..new houses have the twigs they plant that take 20 years to give off a little shade....
I would prefer a new house but i do like making old things look new (good) again.
old house. cause anything thats gonna go wrong with it prolly already has and has been fixed
Brand new, i dont want the old house to fall on my head :) jk. but still a brand new house :D
I agree, I love old houses, every creek seems like home...
I rent I would take any kind of house if I could just call it mine!
OLD all the way.
i still love to live in our old house at the foot of the mountain... fresh air, vege, and many more.... though i have my own ';new house'; already... i still long to live in our old house....am i nostalgic???
New houses are better.
- More energy efficient
- Safer electrical wiring
- Good plumbing
That said, location is more important than whether the house is old or new. Most old houses are in better locations and nice new houses are out in the boonies or in the middle of Generica.
I like older houses too. New houses all look exactly the same.
A New House.
I LOVE OLD HOUSES..SOME HAVE GHOST..LOL..BUT REALLY THEY ARE BUILT BETTER THAN THESE NEW ONES..LIKE YOU SAID OLD HOUSES HAVE A HISTORY BEHIND THEM..
