Our cat Moosie being attacked by his brother. Help! We have 7 cats & just moved into new house.?

Moosie has always been the ';weanie'; of the group and often picked on by a couple of the other cats. They are all indoor cats and we are in coyote territory, so they have to remain indoors. Since the move, there have been a few serious incidents of attack, mainly by his brother Freddie. Right now we are isolating Moosie in one room to protect him, but he is very unhappy. We have never been able to pick him up or hold him as he was born ferral and was traumatized early on. We want to let him out of isolation, but are afraid he will be attacked again. We are using Feliway spray %26amp; diffusers. Any suggestions on addressing the aggressive behavior of the other cats are welcome!!Our cat Moosie being attacked by his brother. Help! We have 7 cats %26amp; just moved into new house.?
Because you moved into a new house, the cats have to find their new territories. Let them work this out on their own. They will all be fine. Our cat Moosie being attacked by his brother. Help! We have 7 cats %26amp; just moved into new house.?
my cats do the same thing its been three years and the brothers are still fighting. If there male cats they are trying to be dominat and if there females they are trying to defend themselves.
Sounds like Freddie is trying to Dominate Moosie (cute name btw). Try getting an alternate litter box for Moosie and keeping it away from Freddie's. Some times cats are really particular about litter boxes and territory if they want to be top on the totem pole.
If I was you, I'd let Moosie out and isolate Freddie. Isolation is punishment for animals, why punish the one whos being attacked, and let the attacker be free? Eventually they'll stop fighting so much, just give it some time.
You might try isolating Freddie instead of Moosie. If you can put a couple drops of vinella on each of their hind ends close to the base of the tail. That will help equalize their scents. Maybe put it on all the cats. It is probably an emotional outbreak due to the change. Also, if you can get Freddie to sleep on a towel or small blanket and then rub Moosie with it after Freddie has used it long enough to leave his scent on it. You can also keep a spray bottle of water and spray Freddie when you see he is heading towards Moosie. Don't squirt poor Moosie or he will be even more traumatized. Hope this helps. I think you are wonderful people for keeping these cats indoor and rescuing them. We need more people like you.

You've probably already done this, but for me-- the best thing in the world is to come home from traveling to my bed being made up with fresh, clean sheets/blankets and nice scented candles around!

Also, maybe you could make her breakfast in the morning, or at least coffee?

Hope that was of some help.... your list looks great, and your Mom is sooo lucky to have such a thoughtful child.

  • Just moved to a new house?

ok so i just moved into a new house...my living room is really empty...my walls are burgandy...i have kinda moraccan style beds, a coffee table, tv stand and lamps...and decoration ideas???Just moved to a new house?
Live in it for a while before you change anything. Then You will have time to get used to it and you will be much more satisfied with any changes you make.

Would you buy a new house? if so, why? if no, why not?

No, I buy lots of them, but HATE new houses.

They need to be at least 30-40 years old. New homes are built so shabbily it is amazing that anyone would buy them. the only ones worth anything are custom built homes, those tend to use skilled labors and decent materials.

I also like older homes because they have landscaping and charactor, all of the previous families put some part of themselves into the homes, giving them a charm exclusive to that house.Would you buy a new house? if so, why? if no, why not?
No I'd rather have an older house because not only are they built a lot better but they are more likely to have bigger rooms and you will have a much bigger garden. New houses are okay, and yes you might get your downstairs cloakroom and your en suite to the master bedroom. But older houses have more character and are more structurally soundWould you buy a new house? if so, why? if no, why not?
i would buy any house if i had the money to do it
A new house and I'd apply for a sub prime mortgage!
No. Old houses have more character and are built better. So many people I know have bought new houses because it's the fashionable thing to do but have had problems. Design faults, cracks in walls, loose windows are things I hear about. Also terrible quality turf and soil. And they all look the same. Boring!
If you mean a new build NO! Never.

They are badly built in no time at all.

My Father has been building houses for 40 years and he will not buy one. To me that says it all.

Developers want them up quick, they cut costs and do not bother with details.
No, unless I knew a great deal about it. They tend to be jerry-built and could be sited on contaminated land.
No, older houses are built better.
i would never buy a house here in england.

    rip off, plain and simple
I would rather buy a new house because it doesn't require much maintenance work for at lease 10 years. Old house tends to have more repair works, unless you're a handy man, go for a new one.
If you mean new as a new build, yes, of course. We do it all the time. Just moved into our 3rd build in 14 yrs. I love it because you have all the power to make the choices you want, how many square ft., layout, flooring, appliances....everything. Our homes have all been custom with quality workmanship and detail. I have never been able to bring myself to buy a used home and loathe renovations.
No never. They don't have as much space as older houses, they all look the same and they aren't built to last.
i would rather buy a new house if it was the same price and same location as a ';used'; house. i just bought my own house and its from 1959 but its still a great house. I would rather have a new house because most new houses have central air and have everything still in working condition and i wouldnt have to fix it up.

Pl inform the Shankareppa + shakuntala combination words for opening of my new house naming ceremenoy?

Expressing your question clearly and well is important. Spend the extra effort to polish your language. It doesn't have to be stiff or formal but it has to be precise; there has to be some indication that you're thinking and paying attention.

New house - Ideas for the Garden?

If you had an unlimited budget, what would you do to improve this garden?

    http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/rr164鈥?/a>

So far all ive come up with is i'd like grass instead of those stones! lol.

i need a bit of inspiration!New house - Ideas for the Garden?
    Oooo well....

Grass (obviously lol). What about some flowerbeds? Maybe grow your own veggies or something (go organic lol!).

Maybe a rockery? A pond? A nice sandpit for the babby?New house - Ideas for the Garden?
I'm with you on the grass.

I'd probably go for a nice ornamental tree of some kind in that back sunny corner and maybe a low to medium height shrub along the base of the wall to hide it a bit. Then you could plant perennials in front of them and annuals too. If that one area is in the shade, you could try a shade garden there with maybe a small fish pond or fountain and an evergreen or two. You could keep some of the stones to make a path to the back and plant some of that pretty moss between them.

Good luck! I suspect you'll have your hands full for a while.
    Move....

Lol, only joking hun, you knew i'd answer with something sarcy though!!! haha

    - def go with the grass idea, then maybe a little slide and swing for Nate or a little playhouse thing. Then a little table and chairs up the top for bbq's in the summer, then some invites for the bbq.. my address is....... ;o)
I would definitely put some trellis's up and get some type of plant to grow up an cover that fence, it will soften the look of the yard and add color too.
