Cost of new house?

OK I was pondering this question. We all know that in many states illegal workers are being used to build new homes and that they are being paid way less than a documented worker or a citizen. But the builders are charging us the full amount as if they were legal.

Now don't you think we're entitled to a refund based on that statement? A nice class action lawsuit?Cost of new house?
The truth is if he wasn't using ';less expensive'; workers, the cost of your house would be 20-30% more. It is not an inverse type of situation where the builder is going to pass on his savings since in actuality it maybe the only profit margin he is seeing just to stay competitive.

I am in the New Orleans area, the Mexicans, legal or not, is the only way anything is getting done and I can promise you, they are not being short changed on wages, at least for now.Cost of new house?
I think it's wrong for anyone to employ ';illegal workers'; in the United States of America and I wouldn't use a builder that has these type of employees. However, if they are ';legal'; workers, meaning working with a green card, registered and able to be here then there is nothing wrong with them working for the builder and it's his business what he pays his employees.

That's like saying the cashier at Walmart makes $7 per hour and they want to charge me $70 for my groceries.....doesn't make since.
What is the full amount of houses? Builders can charge whatever they wish (as long as people are willing to pay) since there is no regulation limiting their profit margin.
Good luck with that. There are no laws against increasing your profit margin, which is exactly what the builders are doing. Homes are generally set within a price that the market supports, and how the builder produces that home is a different matter. While they can be held responsible for their use of illegal labor, that's a different issue altogether.
well say it worng in many ways but it the illegal person agrees to work for the money then there nothing we can do yes i think it worng but the also get illegel ids and get goood jobs is this wonrg too what is really the badest think them working for less money or get and fake id and takeing ur job put u out of make the money u need to soport ur family and here in the us some i know know and guy that got fired the next day come back to work on and different shift under another name that was and illegal it pisses me off that they can get away with this
In theory, you don't have a shot.

Financially, a class action would cost you $250,000 just to get started, and could exceed $1,000.000.00.

Your efforts would be better spent on Global Warming...seriously.
