Oh I get it... it's your way to blame Bush for this whole housing bubble bursting.... well I have to tell you that it is not one man's fault alone that the housing bubble burst... it congress that passed legislation to allow the housing lenders to operate in such a manner, it was the lenders that ACTUALLY did operate in a predatory manner... not even to mention all the greedy people that kept buying multiple houses to ';flip that house'; and turn a profit... :/

People are losing their homes because they didn't lock in on an interest rate but instead in order to get a nicer house they irresponsibly took on a loan that had an adjustable rate. People making stupid decisions should lose. Now everyone expects the government to step in fix it so the irresponsible get a cheaper rate and keep their home while the responsible people get no benefit and even worse have to pay taxes for others who were not. Bush buying a house is nobodies concern and has nothing to do with anything.

My wife left me and my son last year and the house foreclosed, loan was in her name. I just bought a house 23 miles from where I lived for the past 16 years. I paid 69,000.00 with less than 2,000 down and got a rate of 6.5. Maybe you need to make some budget cuts in YOUR house such as cable, subscriptions, things not needed to sustain life like I did.
Yes, Sassy, but a lot more people are buying them now. I wouldn't expect him to be homeless. The interest rates are good. Hopefully people will be able to get back in their houses, and those who want one can go buy a new one.


I do think it's great news for Bush and for all of us.
Just the difference between those who know their budget and credit limits vs those who try and get the max just to 'keep up with the Joneses'. If you go into a loan knowing you're already on the edge of your financial limit and things go wrong (always will) you're screwed.
