I just moved into a new house and there a lot of rose bushes. i dont know how to take care of rose any advice.?

The first thing you will notice come spring is Aphids. You need to get a handle on these pests first thing. There is spray esp, for them. You may have to do this every week then every two weeks for the first two months. I found that roses can be kind of a job but it's worth it once they start blooming. You trim them back in the fall about 5 inches from the ground. I didn't or should I say my husband didn't get around to trimming them one year and they got as tall as the house. these were on the east side and I don't know if that made the difference. But get a handle on those pests for sure, first thing or they get out of control.
