7' 6';Is there a minimun floor to ceiling height as a general guide for new housing?
Are the owners midgets? If so you can make the house alot shorter and save on building materials!Is there a minimun floor to ceiling height as a general guide for new housing?
never heard of a minimum,but the standard is 8'ft some basement drop ceilings are 7'ft.there is no max height.
It depends on your local building codes! Check them out and get to nailing!!!!!!!
standard is 8 ft but not sure of minimum
Usually 8ft is desirable.
It depends on how old the property is, but if you can stand up straight and nearly touch or reach the ceiling it is high enough. The more expensive the property the higher the ceilings.
According to the International Residential Code (fast becoming the standard in the US), minimum ceiling height in new construction is 7 ft., measured from the finish floor to the lowest projection of a ceiling (such as a beam). There are some exceptions to this so check your local codes. However, most new houses have ceilings at least 8 ft. high.
Yes...7 foot ceilings
High enough, of course, for you to walk under; generally 8' to 10' equals a ';story.';
2.4 metres for the ground floor
2.35 metres for the upper floors
